What should I know about Estraderm before using it?

Estraderm can have serious side effects including blood clots, heart attack and stroke. It also increases your risk for certain cancers such as uterine cancer. You will also need frequent breast exams to address a risk for breast changes. Some lab test results may be altered by Estraderm so be sure to tell your doctor that you are taking this medication. Estraderm may also change blood sugar levels in the body so patients with diabetes should monitor their glucose closely when starting this medication.
