Is there a generic version of Premarin?

There is currently no generic version of Premarin available. This is a patented blend of estrogen manufactured by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Generics become available when the patent expires, which will be on February 26, 2012.
There is currently no generic version of Premarin. The last announcement from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration stated that no generic equivalent was found to have the same effectiveness of Premarin. Research into generic versions is ongoing, but for the time being, you should be wary of any medications that tout themselves as being a safe generic version of Premarin.
