Do estradiol vaginal tablets interact with other medications or food?

Grapefruit and grapefruit juice may increase the levels of estradiol in the body. Some antifungals, antibiotics, sleep aids and seizure treatments may interact with estradiol vaginal tablets, so ask your doctor or pharmacist. St. John's Wort should not be taken while using estradiol vaginal tablets. Estradiol vaginal tablets may also interact with:
  • aromatase inhibitors like anastrozole
  • exemestane
  • letrozole
  • blood thinners like warfarin
  • cimetidine
  • cyclosporine
  • phenytoin
  • raloxifene or tamoxifen
  • rifabutin
  • rifampin
  • rifapentine
  • ritonavir
