Are epileptic seizures painful?

Epileptic seizures are not painful. People might feel a bit sleepy afterward but will be back to feeling normal pretty quickly. In fact, people don’t usually even remember what happens during an epileptic seizure. Seizures typically stop on their own after only a few minutes or less.
