Who should not take Creon 10?

Since Creon 10 is a combination of three pancreatic enzymes made from the pancreas of a pig, people who are allergic to pork proteins should not take it. This medication may not be safe for people who have certain medical conditions, including gout, high levels of uric acid in the blood or urine, a history or current occurrence of intestinal blockage, kidney disease and inflammation of the pancreas. Creon may be not be safe in pregnant women. It is not known whether Creon can pass into breast milk. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should talk to the doctor about the risks and benefits associated with using Creon.
