What is Zenpep?

Zenpep is a treatment for people who cannot digest food normally. It contains pancrelipase, a combination of three enzymes (proteins): lipase, protease and amylase. Usually created by the pancreas, they help digest fats, proteins and sugars.

Doctors prescribe Zenpep when the body cannot produce enough of these enzymes. Certain medical conditions can lower levels of important enzymes, including cystic fibrosis, chronic inflammation of the pancreas or blockage in the pancreatic ducts.
