What is the holistic health approach to detox, diet, and boost energy?

The holistic approach to detoxification is to weed out the foods and beverages that are causing problems for your body, while adding foods that will heal. Detoxing your life of dangerous chemicals, personal care products, silver-mercury fillings, and even toxic relationships is a very holistic way to remove harmful obstacles to your health.

The common foods and drinks that most people remove are dairy, sugar, caffeine, wheat and refined carbohydrates, and often meat and poultry.

In fact, the most successful detox diets are vegan, or totally animal free, as well. This means eliminating eggs, dairy, (butter, milk, cheese, yogurt), fish, meat, poultry, etc. This type of detox diet has been used to halt the spread of heart disease and type 2 Diabetes, as well as exhaustion, headaches, skin problems, joint pain, and increases weight loss.

While eliminating these foods can be difficult at first, people who follow the program often feel great benefits within days. The next part of the work is to include more foods that work with the body to cleanse and heal the intestines, and support the major detoxification organs of the body, like the skin and liver.

Some of these food categories will include leafy green vegetables, pure water, gluten-free whole grains, and herbs and spices that are known to support the body's cleansing organs.

Plan on following a detox program for at least 8 weeks. Most people find that after a successful 8 week program, they do not want to return to their previous style of eating and live a healthier life from then on.

A major part of the success of any detox program is to make sure you have emotional support. Sticking with a program can be difficult if you're surrounded by people who aren't dedicated to your success. I recommend that people use a group detox program that offers regular check-ins, a guide to ask questions and get feedback from, and other members who can share your experiences and offer suggestions.
