What are the treatment options for stage 1 uterine cancer?

If you have stage 1 uterine cancer, your doctor will likely recommend a hysterectomy, or surgical removal of the uterus. Sometimes the fallopian tubes and ovaries are removed as well during this operation. With stage 1 uterine cancer, you will probably not need additional treatment, such as chemotherapy or radiation, after your hysterectomy. At this early stage, the surgery is usually all that's needed to remove the cancer.
