How do medications treat stage 2 uterine cancer?

For stage 2 uterine cancer, your doctor will likely recommend a hysterectomy. Medication is usually used in conjunction with a hysterectomy for more advanced cases of uterine cancer, and at stage 2 your doctor may or may not recommend additional chemotherapy, radiation, or hormonal treatment post-surgery. Be sure to discuss your options with your doctor, because at stage 2 you may recover fully with only a hysterectomy, but may also need to take medication as a precaution against the return of cancer.
