Does obesity put me at risk for uterine cancer?

Obesity itself does not cause uterine cancer, but being overweight could put you at risk. Uterine cancer develops when the body has an excessive amount of estrogen. Fat tissue can produce estrogen, so if you are overweight, the extra pounds could be giving your body more estrogen than it needs.
