Are there alternative treatments for uterine cancer?

A hysterectomy is the only surefire way to treat uterine cancer. Some women with early stages of uterine cancer who still want to have children do not have a hysterectomy but opt for hormonal treatment instead. However, hormonal treatment is not as reliable as a hysterectomy.

If advanced stages of uterine cancer do not respond to chemotherapy or radiation, you may be able to undergo new, experimental cancer treatments. The reliability of these treatments is not always known, but they provide additional options when traditional treatment does not work.
