What hormones are used in anti-aging treatments?

Hormones that have been prescribed in the so-called anti-aging programs include growth hormone, dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), thyroid hormone, testosterone, melatonin, estrogens, and progestins. Growth hormone needs to be given by injection. However, growth hormone releasing factor can be taken by mouth. The amino acids arginine and glutamine, also eaten, can stimulate the release of growth hormone in the brain.
