If you are allergic to ethinyl estradiol and etonogestrel, your doctor may decide that you should not use NuvaRing. If you have a history of blood clots, stroke, heart attack, cancer, certain kinds of migraines, or problematic vaginal bleeding, your doctor may decide that NuvaRing is not right for you. If you recently had a baby and are currently breast-feeding or if you recently had a miscarriage or abortion, your doctor may decide that NuvaRing is not right for you at this time.
