What are the side effects of Menopur?

Common side effects of Menopur may include:

  • headache
  • dizziness
  • diarrhea
  • breast tenderness
  • irritation at the site of injection

Other side effects may be more serious. These include:

  • fever
  • chills
  • nausea
  • vomiting
  • sudden weight gain
  • decreased amount of urination
  • trouble urinating
  • muscle weakness
  • shortness of breath
  • pain at site of injection
  • fast or irregular heartbeat
  • breathing problems
  • stomach and pelvic bloating

If you experience a serious side effect, inform your doctor immediately. Menopur may also cause an allergic reaction. Signs of an allergic reaction are hives, difficulty breathing, closing of the throat, and swelling.
