How soon after receiving Sandostatin LAR will my symptoms improve?

In most cases, your symptoms will have already begun improving before you start receiving Sandostatin LAR. Before being given Sandostatin LAR, you should have already been receiving immediate-release Sandostatin. Some people feel improvement within a week or so after beginning Sandostatin. Once you switch to the long-acting Sandostatin LAR, your doctor may recommend that you continue taking the immediate-release version for a few weeks. This will help ensure that your symptoms remain under control.
