These include people who have hypovolemic hyponatremia, a form of hyponatremia in which a deficiency of body water exists, in addition to low sodium levels; those who have allergies to corn or corn products; and those who cannot produce urine. People who suffer from heart or liver disease should be evaluated by a doctor to determine whether conivaptan should be administered.
