How can movements act as a mode of healing?

Movement also can be a more formal mode of healing. Dance therapy uses movement rather than words to address our physical body, emotions, mental attitude, and relationship with the world. A dance therapist observes us and moves rhythmically with us, mirroring not only our physical movements but also the feelings behind those movements. As we learn to identify certain details of our physical and emotional states,we can begin to alter our movements so that we feel more comfortable with ourselves.
