How can I manage ear disorders on a daily basis?

Ear infections should be treated as needed. Oftentimes, over-the-counter pain medications can treat the pain, and the condition will resolve without further medical treatment. If symptoms persist, your doctor may prescribe antibiotics. Warm compresses can also bring some relief. If you suffer from a disorder affecting balance, make sure your home is a safe haven, free of electrical cords or other items that can trip you. Always make sure you have ample lighting, and give yourself time to find your balance before you move. If you are suffering from hearing loss, take steps to amplify your hearing. Turn down background sounds. Ask your doctor if a hearing aid would be helpful.
