Whether or not you can have radiation for your acoustic neuroma if you have already had radiation will depend on your specific case. There are a few studies taking place to investigate repeat radiation or repeat radiosurgery, but in general, it’s not the recommended course of treatment unless other therapies have failed. This is because your body will remember your previous radiation treatment and there's a certain limit to what your body can receive.
