Who should not take Microzide?

You should not take the diuretic Microzide (hydrochlorothiazide) if you are not able to pass urine, a condition called anuria. Microzide is not approved for children. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, or who are breastfeeding should talk to their doctor about whether it is safe for them to take Microzide. You should not take Microzide if you're allergic to sulfa drugs.
