Who should not take amiloride?

If you have kidney disease, you should not take amiloride. You also should not take it if you have high amounts of potassium in your blood, if you take potassium supplements or if you take a different potassium-sparing diuretic. In addition, if you have urination problems you should not take amiloride. This medicine is used with caution in those who have diabetes.
