How do I use amiloride-hydrochlorothiazide?

You should take amiloride-hydrochlorothiazide (brand name Moduretic) exactly as directed by your doctor. Typically, this will be once daily, in the morning, with food. It lowers high blood pressure by controlling fluid retention. Amiloride-hydrochlorothiazide tablets are taken by mouth. Do not stop taking amiloride-hydrochlorothiazide without first talking to your doctor. It is important that you take amiloride-hydrochlorothiazide even if you feel okay.

Never increase or decrease the amount you take, or the length of time between doses unless you talk to your doctor first.
