When you can't move food and liquids through your system properly a number of problems can arise. Among them:

    • Nausea
    • Vomiting
    • Dehydration
    • Aspiration pneumonia - A form of pneumonia that results when the contents of your stomach are drawn back into your lungs.
    • Bowel obstructions - Developed from fruit and vegetable fibers not fully digested. This can cause pain, nausea, bloating, and other discomfort.
