How common are Meckel's diverticulum ulcers?

About two percent of the population has a Meckel's diverticulum. However, only 4.2 percent of those affected by a Meckel's diverticulum experience symptoms like ulcers. Researchers have also found that men are more likely than women to experience complications with a Meckel's diverticulum.
