What are the dangers of gastroparesis?

It is rarely life-threatening condition. Some people will become very malnourished and experience unintentional weight loss, but that is really uncommon—it probably occurs only 5 to 10 percent of the time. However, gastroparesis is really hard on quality of life, and if you can imagine being nauseated all the time, that’s what it feels like. Gastroparesis can make it difficult to hold a job and enjoy the good things in life. Unless sufferers seek care from professionals that know what they’re doing, they can spend years bouncing from emergency room to emergency room, getting different medications and not getting anywhere.
