What are the symptoms of an unhealthy gastrointestinal system?

Because there are many types of gastrointestinal (GI) problems, symptoms vary depending upon the particular problem. Symptoms of GI disorder may include the following:
 
- changes in bowel movements
- diarrhea constipation
- blood in the stool and gas
- abdominal pain
- nausea
- heartburn
- regurgitation
- difficulty swallowing
- loss of appetite
- weight loss
