Maple syrup is a very good source of the trace mineral manganese. It is also a good source of zinc. A 3.5 oz. (100 g) serving provides 261 calories, mostly as 67.1 g of carbohydrate. It contains 59.5 g of sugar, mostly glucose. There is no protein, and only 0.2 g of fat. A tablespoon (15 g) provides 52 calories, 13.4 g of carbohydrate, 11.9 g of sugar, no protein, and 0.04 gram of fat.
