White button mushrooms are an excellent source of many minerals, including selenium, copper, potassium, and zinc, and phytochemicals. They are also an excellent source of B vitamins, including thiamine, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, and niacin. In addition to possessing all of the nutritional highlights of white button mushrooms, crimini mushrooms and portobellos are very good sources of vitamins B6 and B12.

A 3.5 oz. (100 g) serving of button mushrooms provides 22 calories, 3.1 g of protein, 0.3 g of fat, and 3.2 g of carbohydrate, with 1.2 g of fiber and no cholesterol.
