Does silymarin really work?

The benefits of silymarin have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Some independent studies have shown that silymarin does work to help liver function. The benefits of silymarin on stomach, gall bladder, and appetite problems, as well as prostate, breast, and cervical cancer, have not been studied.
