Aminosyn II 4.25% in 25% dextrose injection should not be used to treat nutritional deficiencies in infants. This formula is too concentrated for use in infants. Your doctor will monitor you carefully when you are using this amino acid injection if you are an older adult or an adult with a health condition, such as severe liver disease, kidney disorder or failure, congestive heart disease, diabetes or edema (fluid buildup in your body). When using an amino acid injection like Aminosyn II 4.25% in 25% dextrose injection, there is an increased risk for fluid retention and worsening of your kidney or liver disorder or heart disease.

You may not be able to receive this supplement if you have an allergy to aluminum. Adults with high levels of blood urea nitrogen should not use Aminosyn II 4.25% in 25% dextrose injection without regular blood tests. This amino acid injection is not recommended for use during pregnancy.
