You should not take essential amino acid injections if you have had problems metabolizing amino acids or if you are otherwise sensitive to amino acids. You should not receive amino acid injections if you have limited circulating blood volume, hyperammonemia or untreated acid-base and electrolyte imbalance. You may not be able to use these injections if you have liver problems or sensitivities to aluminum or sulfites.
