When should I call my doctor after a Cortrosyn stimulation test?

Call your doctor if any of the following occurs at the site where the blood was drawn for your cosyntropin (Cortrosyn) stimulation test:
  • hot to the touch
  • redness, firmness, or red streaking
  • yellow drainage
  • swelling or puffiness
  • pain
  • fever with a temperature greater than 100 degrees F
