Isosulfan blue (sold under the brand name Lymphazurin) is an injectable dye that stains only lymph nodes and lymph vessels. It is used to more easily visualize, or see, those vessels and nodes. Isosulfan blue attaches to proteins that are carried in the lymphatic vessels, temporarily staining the vessels and nodes a blue color. It is used to diagnose, not to treat any conditions. It is administered only in a clinical or hospital setting.
