About two percent of people have an allergic reaction to isosulfan blue (Lymphazurin). Signs of this include: swelling at the injection site and itchy neck, abdomen or hands within minutes of the shot. A life-threatening allergic reaction could result if you experience hives on or under your skin, swollen throat or face, breathing problems or shock. Isosulfan blue can turn urine blue for a day after injection, and it can turn skin blue temporarily for a period of time.
