It does contain sodium iodide and can cause allergic reaction symptoms in people allergic to iodides. Intravenous injections of IC-Green can be given up to five times during diagnostic testing. Before using IC-Green, tell your doctor if you are pregnant. The effects of IC-Green on a fetus are not known. It's also not known if IC-Green can be passed through breast milk to a nursing infant.
