Before receiving an iopromide injection, you should discuss all of the medications and supplements you take regularly or occasionally with your doctor. Iopromide may interact badly with some medications, including medications that affect your kidney function; diabetes medications, including metformin (Glucophage); beta blockers; cancer medications, including interleukins; and other X-ray contrast agents, such as oral cholecystographic agents. Iopromide is not likely to interact with food.
