Jardiance (empagliflozin) may cause you to urinate (pee) more frequently. Doctors recommend that you should take this drug in the morning. After a few days, the frequent urination should decrease. You should return to the same frequency you had before taking Jardiance.

Some women who take Jardiance may be more likely to develop urinary tract infections or genital yeast infections. It's important to pay attention to proper hygiene. If you have low blood pressure, this drug may make you feel dizzy, especially when first standing. The elderly or those who take diuretics or water pills are especially likely to notice this side effect.
