How do crowns hold a bridge in place?

A bridge, as the name suggests spans a space in the mouth where a tooth is missing. The bridge is bonded to the teeth on either side of the gap and carries an artificial tooth to replace the one missing.
Crowns can also be used to attach dental bridges in your mouth. A crown can make your tooth stronger and improve its appearance.

If your dentist recommends a crown, it can be to help attach and strengthen a bridge or for another reason. Your dentist’s primary concern, like yours, is helping you keep your teeth healthy and your smile bright.
