How common is cyclic rosacea?

About 14 million people in the United States are currently diagnosed with rosacea, be it progressive or cyclic. Rosacea tends to occur more frequently in women and in families of fair-skinned, European descent. Because rosacea is less obvious in people with darker skin, however, it has been suggested that instances of rosacea may be under-reported in those demographics.
