Can I get a testicular prosthetic if I'm missing a testicle?

Mark S. Litwin, MD
Urology
Yes, you can get a testicular prosthetic if you are missing a testicle. Saline-filled prostheses and silicone-filled prostheses that resemble a regular testicle have been used for many years in urology. They are available in four different standard sizes. The prosthetic is placed during testicle removal surgery (orchiectomy).  A prosthetic is considered cosmetic surgery.  You may wish to have it done to feel better about the appearance of your testicles and scrotum.
