Despite the hype about calf, buttock, and male pectoral implants, most plastic surgeons do not perform these procedures. In 2005, only 263 people in the United States underwent calf augmentation, 2,361 had buttock augmentation, and 172 underwent pectoral augmentation. Pectoral implants declined 76% in one year and appear to be headed for extinction.
