Recontouring is a cosmetic dental technique that can improve minor imperfections in the appearance of a tooth. It remove minor crevices, or areas where there is a small chip. In recontouring, your dentist removes a small amount of tooth enamel, and no anesthesia is required. Recontouring can also be combined with bonding, which can repair or restore larger fractures, chips, or cavities.
