How do I take ciprofloxacin?

If you are taking ciprofloxacin tablets, swallow them whole with a full glass of water. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. If you are taking ciprofloxacin in liquid form (also called a suspension), first shake the bottle hard for at least 15 seconds before pouring a dose. Household spoons are not accurate, so always use a measuring spoon or measured medicine cup. Swallow the liquid whole and do not crunch the granules.
