How do I care for someone with a chronic bronchitis?

The majority of cases of chronic bronchitis are caused by smoking. If this is the cause behind your loved one's condition, caring for them will probably involve helping them quit. Help them research quitting techniques and be encouraging as they go through the difficult process of overcoming the addiction. Otherwise, help create an environment that is healthy for your loved one's lungs by keeping the air clean and free of smoke, dust, and other pollutants. Preparing healthy, nutrient-filled meals can also help your loved one stay healthy overall and stave off illness and infection.
