Is SPF 15 acceptable for UVB coverage?

Since most working people only spend lunch hour outdoors they tend to assume that an SPF 15 product is adequately protective. Most dermatologists know you will only apply the product typically in the morning when you leave for work, so they suggest using at least an SPF 30 for daily use and an SPF 50 if you think you will be outdoors for an extended period of time. A higher SPF than 50 will not offer significant added protection. In addition to the SPF, remember you need the clarification of UVA/UVB protection as well.
