How will doing cardio affect my blood pressure?

With any heart issue it is always a good idea to get your doctor's clearance before doing any training. Your doctor needs to decide the intensity it is safe for you to be training at. He or she should be able to tell you what heart rate zones to train in and how often. This will be different for everyone based on any medication you may be taking as well as the dose. Training the heart is important, even with high blood pressure. With proper training and over time, the goal would be to reduce the dose that you are taking and if possible, to ultimately have your doctor take you off the medication completely.
