What is Lanoxin Pediatric used for?

Lanoxin Pediatric is used in pediatrics very similar to the way it is used in adults. It is FDA-approved in all ages for the treatment of heart failure (where the heart doesn't pump as well as it should). Although the causes of heart failure in children are different than causes in adults, treatment can be similar.

It has also been used in other conditions which cause arrhythmias (where the heart beats too fast or too irregularly).

Lanoxin Pediatric is the cardiac drug digoxin which is used in mild to moderate heart failure. It also controls the ventricular response rate in chronic atrial fibrillation.
