Is there a cure for burn pain?

The cure for burn pain includes pain medication and dressing changes. Narcotics such as vicodin and anxiolytics such as ativan may be useful when combined with soaking of the burn for 5 minutes and dressing changes. 

Burn pains can be managed through pain medication. In many cases, however, burn pain may simply lessen over time. As the burn heals, the pain dissipates.
