What is the recovery for a breast reduction?

The usual recovery for a breast reduction is approximate 6-8 weeks. No heavy lifting for the first month. Compressive brassiere for at least 4 weeks. Sutures should remain intact for two weeks. Dressings replaced twice a day for 2-3 weeks. Our patients are placed on antibiotics and pain medications for the first 7 days. Drainage tubes are used for 24 hours and removed the next day.
