What are the symptoms of a shoulder injury?

Shoulder injuries such as rotator cuff tendinitis or rotator cuff tears are not only painful, but they can greatly affect the activities you can perform. There may be night pain, pain with overhead movements and lack of motion. Some people develop a loss of motion, especially reaching behind their back towards their back pocket. If you suffer from any of these symptoms, successful treatment may be easier than you think. Most people probably don't need surgery. The vast majority of shoulder injury cases are just simply tendinitis and bursitis, and doctors can usually treat those conditions well with physical therapy, anti-inflammatories and cortisone shots.
